“Stones That Know” (2024)
Stones That Know is a web project that translates memories into 3D-rendered meshes – or stones – that can be exported as rotating gifs or still images. Users may either hold onto the stone or throw it into the world, which downloads the rendering into one’s personal collection or subsequently “tosses” the rock into a communal page on the web. The community page is accessed publicly, where other users may stumble upon a rock and read the story behind the sentimental piece of knowledge, identity, and experience.Project Type: Website
